Q & A with Dr. Hoenig:

Juvederm or Restylane

"What filler is better for the eyelid area, Juvederm or Restylane?"

In my practice, I use both Juvederm and Restylane. I find that Restylane goes in smoother and can be molded easier, therefore I use it in the eye area (upper and lower eyelids) and the lip line. Juvederm also tends to retain more water and cause swelling so I avoid it in the lower eyelids where puffiness can be a problem. (Always try to sleep on your back, and not on your stomach!) I prefer Juvederm for the nasolabial folds (laugh lines).
